The normal body temperature for dogs is 99 to 101F and will normally drop to 98F or 97.9F in the last 24 hrs or so before the birth
During this time the bitch may become restless or uncomfortable, and may dig or stretch and lie on her side, during this time you may see a glazed look in her eyes or a dilating of her eyes. She may not want to be out of the room from you or may be looking for a place to whelp, at this time put her into her whelping box and sit with her to comfort her. I usually sleep my bitches in the whelping box for about a week to get them used to the box! You need to have this in a quiet place where no other dogs are about and no children running around.

Fact: Did you know that the majority of vitamins , minerals and supplements that are available today in pet food are synthetic.
The consequences of using these synthetic nutritional supplements are unfortunate. Firstly, these supplements have a very short life within the pets body, resulting in no long term benefits. Secondly, the nutrients present within the formulation are not in a natural balanced state. Which can cause problems by unsettling your dogs body’s sensitive chemical balance. I have lost count of the number of people who have visited my practice, ceased using commercial pet and commented “My dog is so much better since I stopped feeding those foods and it has more energy
In my practice I use suggest learning about the benefits of using real food to feed their dog,resulting in far better absorption, no side effects and great short term and long term results.
Fact: Soy products are of no benefit to your Dog, they are in fact very harmful!
Though, in my experience as a Pet Natural health practitioner I have discovered a plethora of clinical and practical evidence to support these views.
What is the answer? Avoid Soy products at all costs! Yet do not just take my word as gospel. Search the Internet.. Your Pets health is dependent upon it!
